Senior Living Watch monitors the public inspection records that government regulators keep on nursing homes, assisted living communities and licensed in-home care agencies, and emails you when a place you're tracking receives a new citation, complaint, or penalty, in plain language, usually within 24 hours.
Public records, made findable and subscribable
When inspectors find medication errors, falls, unsafe conditions, abuse, or neglect, those findings become part of the public record. But that record only helps if you know where to look, when, and how to read it, and most families learn about a problem after something has already happened. We watch the record for you, so you find out when the inspector does.
Three steps
1. Find a place
Search for the nursing home, assisted living community, or in-home care agency you care about.
2. Track it
Tell us to watch it. Tracking is private, and the community is never notified.
3. Get alerts
We check official sources every day and email you when a new record appears, with a link to the original.

Official government sources
We pull directly from CMS (the federal agency that regulates nursing homes) and state regulatory agencies, the same data those agencies publish themselves. Every alert links back to the original record.
Independent
We take no advertising, and nothing in a facility's record can be bought. Operators can subscribe like anyone else, but no one can pay to change, soften, remove, or delay what an inspector found, or to rank higher in search.
Why I built this
I lost my mother while she was living in an assisted living community. In the aftermath, I found myself searching public records, trying to understand what had happened and whether there were warning signs I had missed.
The information was scattered across government websites. It was hard to find, harder to interpret, and impossible to subscribe to. There was no way to ask the simple question: tell me if anything happens here.
I built Senior Living Watch to give other families what I wish I'd had: a way to know, quickly and in plain terms, when something happens where someone they love lives.

Honest about our limits
Senior Living Watch is not affiliated with CMS or any government agency, and we don't rate or rank facilities. We surface the official record so you can read it yourself. And nothing replaces showing up in person: we tell you what the record says so you can ask better questions when you visit.
